Coastal Sun Farm Gets a Cob Oven!

We were thrilled to host Buckeye Natural Builders and MudWorks Natural Building at our farm in the early summer of 2025. The mission: to build a pizza oven, wood-fired grill, sink, and prep area, all made of cob.
Cob is a mix of soil and straw, and has many benefits, including a next-level insulation and heat retention capability, and the presence of absolutely zero chemicals.
We had the best time "playing in the mud", and building with these all-natural compounds mean that, one day, the construction will fully return to the earth with no harm to the environment whatsoever.
