At Coastal Sun, we cross-train farm employees to skillfully care for cannabis and blueberries, which allows us to have a diverse team year-round, especially since the blueberry season on our farm depends on the weather. While we cover our crops with field tunnels to extend the season, we ultimately rely on nature's elements. Typically, we harvest our early blueberry varieties in January or February and continue with our later cultivars until June or July. However, our first picks were delayed until May due to a wet winter this year.
