Cultivating Connections Through the Farm Tour Experience
The magic of Coastal Sun Farm often comes up during our staff trainings and weekly dispensary visits. “When do farm tours start?” “When can I come pick blueberries?” “Can I come see the goats?” are common questions budtenders ask our staff.
This curiosity stems from word-of-mouth buzz and budtenders’ enthusiasm for our annual Budtender Farm Tours. For the past few summers, we have hosted these Budtender and Dispensary Staff Exclusive Farm Tours at our farm in Santa Cruz.
Although our paths don't cross daily, like typical co-workers, budtenders, delivery drivers, inventory managers, and all the dispensary roles in between are the vital faces connecting us with consumers.
We offer this as an educational opportunity, taking our retail partners out of the store and allowing them to see firsthand how we cultivate some of the best organic cannabis California has to offer.
Beyond education, this provides us with an intentional moment to sit with the people who help get our flower directly into the hands of their community. We open the floor to feedback, encourage questions, and always take a moment to appreciate the goats and pick our USDA Certified Organic blueberries together.
This 2026 season, we hosted over 180 budtenders from dispensaries all over California.

Another great summer of education!
We hope everyone left nourished by the good feelings we have every day working at the farm. To all our community members who made the trip to see our farm, we greatly appreciate that you allowed us to share how organics and regenerative agriculture are shaping the cannabis industry.
There is so much excitement about building our team with the wonderful people who represent us at our retail partner stores. Although our paths don't cross daily, like typical co-workers, budtenders, delivery drivers, inventory managers, and all the dispensary roles in between are the vital faces connecting us with consumers. We are grateful for the chance to appreciate them all and acknowledge how deeply their hard work is valued.
Our team treasures this land and what we do, and sharing it with people who appreciate it as much as we do is what it’s all about.
We trust that everyone took home wonderful memories and is now better able to share our vision of why organic cultivation matters.
The team looks forward to continuing this program next season, welcoming back both familiar staff faces and new ones to pet the goats, pick berries, and check out all the awesome flower grown here at Coastal Sun!

What an incredible farm tour season! It means the world to us that hundreds of budtenders and retail staff came from all over California to see what makes our farm so special.
We kicked things off in April with our team of goats grazing the cover crops to prep the fields, and wrapped up in July with some folks heading home with their very own Coastal Moon blueberry bushes.
Working these tours is always such a treat! There’s nothing like strolling through the gorgeous cannabis plants, snacking on the world's best blueberries, and, of course, hanging out with our sweet goats, including the eight adorable babies born this season.
And, as always, the best part is learning and laughing together while sharing the magic of Coastal Sun Farm. We’ve had an absolute blast hosting everyone, and we truly hope they enjoyed the experience as much as we did.
Our team treasures this land and what we do, and sharing it with people who appreciate it as much as we do is what it’s all about.
We couldn’t do any of this without the hard work of our amazing dispensary partners and their dedicated teams. They play such an essential role in getting organic cannabis to our community, and these tours are just a small token of our appreciation for everything they do.
