10 Years of Harvests, Growth, & Gratitude: Coastal Sun Farm Celebrates a Decade

Each year at Coastal Sun, we celebrate not only an abundant harvest but also the opportunity to cultivate for another season and deepen relationships within our community.

This year, our 10-year anniversary harvest party welcomed over 120 people. Our biggest party yet! We saw old friends and new faces, from the farmers who grow in our fields and greenhouses to the legacy farmers in our partner farm program, along with buyers, retailers, and dear friends of all of them.

Coastal Sun Outdoor Kitchen Reveal

We gathered in one of our favorite spaces on the farm, our picnic area, where we officially showcased our new outdoor kitchen, equipped with an eco-friendly, sustainably built cob oven created by our friends at Mud Works and Buckeye Natural Building.

Girasol Pizza served up delicious, fresh wood-fired pizzas while guests enjoyed their meals beside a toasty, romantically lit bonfire and dimly lit tables beneath the moonlight. In the background, an all-vinyl soundtrack played through the hi-fi sound system as the DJ spun soul and deep grooves, adding warm, nostalgic vibes to the scene.

With fresh flower, tasty food, and refreshing drinks in hand, the space was filled with laughter, easy conversation, and the kind of buzzing energy that only comes from being surrounded by good people.

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting. Clear skies, gentle coastal air, and a slow, golden sunset wrapped the celebration in a perfectly charmed fall glow. It left us all feeling a little enchanted and deeply grateful.

Fresh Harvests & Guided Farm Tours

The harvest table ensured everyone was properly gifted and elevated, featuring an array of fresh harvest from our farm and partner farms, including Nice Day Farm, Elevated Vice, Major Farms, River Star Ranch, La Cuesta Farms, Foothill River, and Emerald Mountain.

And no trip to Coastal Sun Farm would be complete without a proper farm tour, which is always led during the Harvest Party by our CFO, Darren Story, who guides guests through some of our state-of-the-art mixed-light greenhouses.

This year, the evening concluded with a joint-rolling contest, where the winners took home limited-edition swag prizes. Partygoers also took photos at the NorCal Selfies photobooth, a small keepsake to bring home, along with their goodie bags filled with two of our most beloved cultivars: GMO Garlic Cookies and Banjo in special 10-Year Anniversary packaging.

This year’s Harvest Party was one for the books. It was a beautiful night where we created new memories while reflecting on the past 10 years. It was a moment to be grateful that what began as a small team with a big vision has grown into a thriving ecosystem of farmers, retailers, and partners who share our commitment to organic, regenerative cannabis.
