Coastal Sun made the trip to Las Vegas for this yearâs MJBizCon with something special to celebrate. Our GMO Cookies took 3rd place in the Mixed Light category at the MJBiz Awards. It gave the team the perfect excuse to step off the farm and into one of the biggest cannabis gatherings in the world.

Why We Went
MJBizCon continues to be a cornerstone event for the cannabis industry. This yearâs show floor was filled with both new and seasoned operators, vendors, and innovators pushing the industry forward. For Coastal Sun, staying connected to the latest ideas, technologies, and people is part of our ongoing commitment to improving how cannabis is grown, shared, and understood.

Award Spotlight
Taking home 3rd place for GMO Cookies was a proud moment. Curated by Budist and grown in living organic soil, this cultivar represents what happens when genetics, environment, and intention align. Sharing the podium with respected friends and operators like Jetty Extracts and Decibel Gardens made the moment even sweeter.
Supporting Our Partners
A key highlight was showing support for our nursery partner Haze Valley Nursery who exhibited at the show. Partnerships like these help strengthen the organic cannabis supply chain and ensure that cultivators across the state have access to clean and healthy plant starts.

Connections That Matter
From NABIS and Vertosa gatherings to MJBiz hosted mixers, the energy around the event was full of momentum and real opportunity. A huge thank you to AnnaRea Grabstein for locking down a pair of incredible suites at the world famous Jockey Club. The location is right next to the Cosmopolitan with some of the best views on the Strip and just a short walk to the chandelier bar where it feels like half the business in the cannabis world gets done.
We also want to acknowledge Eva and Sjoerd of Haze Valley Nursery for their ongoing partnership and support throughout the week. Their presence, insight, and hospitality added a grounding sense of familiarity to the whirlwind of the event, and we are grateful for the time shared together in Las Vegas.
Shout out to getting in some quality time with our packaging partners Calyx. It was great connecting with Leah from Storz and Bickel, Ishaq from ECCO Cat 4 Certifiers, and our friends at Bear Labs. These touchpoints continue to strengthen our network and remind us how many good people are working toward a better future for cannabis.
We enjoyed memorable dinners with our longtime packaging partners at Calyx Containers. Highlights included meals at Jaleo by Jose Andres and the legendary Lotus of Siam where we celebrated Shy Annâs birthday with the team in true Vegas fashion.
What We Are Bringing Home
Leaving the farm for a few days always gives us perspective. MJBizCon reminded us how far this industry has come and how much more is possible when growers, creators, and operators collaborate. We are returning home inspired, energized, and grateful for the relationships that continue to shape the future of cannabis.

Closing
The sun keeps rising and after a week in Vegas our path feels brighter than ever. We are excited for what lies ahead and look forward to sharing more soon.
