Coastal Sun Visits UCLA Cannaclub

Coastal Sun recently joined UCLA Cannaclub for an event that left a real impression on our team. Cannaclub is a student led organization focused on cannabis education, advocacy, and career opportunities for college students. UCLA is part of a wider Cannaclub network that now spans 57 universities across the country with more than 9,000 members. The scale alone is impressive, but the execution and intention behind the event is what truly stood out.

Why We Went

Cannaclub is building something meaningful. This was our first time attending a cannabis event on a college campus that felt organized, thoughtful, and rooted in real education. Their mission is not about hype or trends. It is about creating informed leaders who understand the plant, the industry, and the responsibility that comes with both.

Coastal Sun on Campus

The Cannaclub team brought together knowledgeable speakers, brands, and dispensaries who offered students an inside look at the cannabis industry and its growing opportunities. The conversations were honest and engaging, and it was clear the students were eager to learn more about the plant and the space around it. The energy throughout the day was curious, welcoming, and full of excitement. When people experience clean, organic cannabis in an environment built on education and community, the plant speaks for itself.

After Hours

Once the daytime programming wrapped, Cannaclub hosted an after party that gave students a chance to unwind and enjoy the brands they had connected with earlier in the day. We set up with our Storz and Bickel Volcano and shared sun grown flower with hundreds of enthusiastic students. Seeing new consumers experience cannabis through a device built for flavor, purity, and intention was a highlight of the night. The energy was fun, authentic, and full of possibility. It hinted at what the next era of cannabis culture may become when education and community lead the way.

Looking Ahead

Cannaclub is doing something unique and important. They are educating the next wave of cannabis advocates, scientists, and operators. Being part of this gathering felt special, and we hope to return in a larger capacity next year. We would welcome the opportunity to contribute to their panels and support Cannaclub as they continue to elevate the conversation around cannabis on college campuses.
