Big Pete's Beach Clean-Up

This summer, Coastal Sun has been joining our friends at Big Pete’s Treats for their Santa Cruz Beach Clean-up events. Together with other dedicated volunteers, we have helped to pick up hundreds of pounds of trash off one of Santa Cruz’s most iconic and beloved beaches.
Below is a message from Claire, Coastal Sun’s NorCal Lead Brand Ambassador:
What a beautiful day at Santa Cruz Main Beach with our friends from Big Pete’s Treats!
Over 40 volunteers signed up to help us pick trash up off Santa Cruz Main Beach. Some returning faces from past beach cleanups joined the effort, along with lots of new folks keen to keep our sands safe and beautiful.
We were surrounded by friends within the cannabis industry from The Green Spot and Oakfruitland, as well as local businesses, Loco Lopez surfwear and @espressoyoself, who provided free haircuts to the volunteers. Some psychedelic rock music was played for attendees by Santa Cruz band Love Creek.
It was great to feel and be part of such a sense of community. Thank you, Big Pete’s and SC Volunteer Center, for organizing. We are definitely looking forward to the next one!
